Job Description
About the Role
As an AI Data Annotator – Tier 1 Backend Monitoring, you will review AI-generated alerts, satellite detections, and historical incident data to identify potential smoke or fire activity. Working within defined annotation and review workflows, you will validate alerts, classify incidents, and escalate qualified cases for further investigation while maintaining high standards of accuracy and consistency.
This role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to make accurate decisions in a high-volume backend operations environment.
Key Responsibilities
AI Monitoring & Data Annotation
- Review AI-generated alerts, known fire alerts, and satellite detections, marking required incidents as smoke investigations for Tier 2 escalation.
- Analyze historical incident data to evaluate industrial locations and nearby activity before escalating smoke alerts.
- Accurately annotate and mark the bearing of identified fires.
- Determine whether alerts represent new incidents or duplicate events.
- Review ranking timelapse footage for off-season sites and classify smoke or fire alerts.
- Monitor open ranking incidents and close cases when visibility is resolved.
- Report issues related to detection tools, annotation platforms, or monitoring systems.
